I’ve been teaching math, science, SAT, ACT, Chinese, English, classical guitar, and more for the last seven years at a Chinese enrichment center in Kirkland, Washington, and am now embarking upon a new life here in Eugene. Previously, I lived, worked, and studied in Taiwan, Paris, Oxford, as well as Harbin, Beijing, and Zhuhai in Mainland China. I’m trilingual, with two other languages on the back burner. I love learning, and am delighted to help launch my longtime students on the pathway to academic success and fulfillment in their adult lives. Graduated from Wellesley College (magna cum laude) and got my MA from Washington University in St. Louis. I’m also a book translator, editor, and freelance writer. My current projects include a short story collection by a Taiwanese author, along with the third in a series of books on the Vinaya published by and for Buddhist practitioners and monastics around the world. More-than-hobbies: Cycling, Chinese martial arts, yoga, and meditation.
